New art gallery in Shrewsbury

On Thursday, 5th. January, Shrewsbury's brand new art gallery and gift shop hosted a preview of an exhibition of recent works by Chris Clements, who graduated in Fine Art from Manchester Metropolitan University and went on to spend a further three years studying in Florence under the portrait painter, John Angel.  Chris Clements is pleased to undertake commissions.  The exhibition continues until Sunday 29th. January.  Opening hours are from 10:00 to 4:00 daily except Sunday.

The art gallery is located at 8, St Mary's Street, in the centre of Shrewsbury and the property has been extensively renovated.  Gallery owners, Stacey Millard and Gareth Williams, plan to combine monthly art exhibitions with displays of antique furniture, beautiful lamps, glass ware and unusual stationery - all of which are offered for sale.

This is an exciting and innovative new venture for Shrewsbury and Shropshire and is well worth a visit.
